Children are a Gift from God
At Flagstaff Christian Preschool, we’re passionate about nurturing young learners to be confident, curious, and culturally aware. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce Spanish and basic American Sign Language (ASL) into our daily learning—opening your child’s heart and mind to the beauty of language from the very beginning.
This year, we’re using the dynamic Spanish Champs curriculum, designed specifically for young children. Through songs, stories, games, and repetition, children will build a strong foundation in practical, everyday Spanish vocabulary and phrases.
They’ll joyfully explore words and expressions related to:
Language is introduced in ways that are natural and playful, helping children absorb new sounds, recognize patterns, and develop listening and speaking skills through total physical response (TPR) methods.
In addition to Spanish, our students will also be learning basic American Sign Language, offering another powerful tool for communication and inclusivity.
Children will learn:
Sign language supports visual learning, memory, and emotional expression, and helps all children—including those with different learning styles—feel confident and connected.

✅ Boosts confidence and communication
✅ Fosters appreciation for cultural diversity

At Flagstaff Christian Preschool, language learning is more than memorizing vocabulary—it’s about opening the door to new ways of thinking, connecting, and expressing.
Whether your child is saying “¡Hola!” in Spanish or signing “thank you” in ASL, they’ll be growing in confidence and compassion. These early experiences set the stage for academic success, stronger cognitive development, and a lifelong love of language and culture.
